Summer is quietly approaching and I’m sure you're already making plans to travel and spend time outdoors! As far as sunscreen goes, there are many great choices out there, so I thought I would share those that I personally use and love. Yes, I'm obsessed with facial sunscreen, especially those with a nice tint! All my favorites listed here have great reviews from customers of all skin types, color, gender, and age.
I do have some GOOD news for you. If you're a foundation wearer, it is likely you’re already wearing sunscreen daily, and makeup is also a good physical barrier protecting your skin from sunburn and accelerated aging.
Here are my absolute favorite SPF products! You should always try to sample a product to determine if it is compatible with your skin type! No breakouts or rashes please!
Murad City Skin Age Defense SPF50 with Vitamin C is by far my favorite. It can actually work as makeup with its light peachy colored tint, all while fighting the signs of aging with powerhouse ingredients. If I could only have one face sunscreen this would be it for sure. I actually get compliments when I wear this instead of foundation. It definitely is a win-win!!!

I also love-love- love Colorscience Sunforgettable SPF50, so it would be pretty hard for me to pick one sunscreen over the other. I love Colorscience Flex, which is self-adjusting and offers some coverage replacing foundation or tinted moisturizer. It has a gorgeous finish and doesn’t make my face break out. I also love the Classic Face Shield, which has the same peachy tint as Murads City Skin. They also have Glow, which is more of a true beige color. It really depends on how much coverage you like, and if you prefer a beige or peachy pink tint.

Peter Thomas Roth Max Mineral SPF45 pleasantly surprised me! This is a superior product and leaves skin looking even and natural. This suncsreen provides water-resistant, broad spectrum SPF 45 UVA/UVB for sensitive skin with Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide. The key ingredients are Vitamin C, Safflower Extract, and Vitamin E for nourishment and comfort. This product helps if you suffer from redness and uses diamond powder to give skin a radiant looking finish!

Kosas DreamBeam SPF40 is a winner! I bet you saw this one coming since I love the dreamy dewy finish and the beautiful peachy beige color! SPF skincare meets dreamy makeup prep or makeup replacement! Clean, comfy mineral sunscreen packed with ceramides + peptides to moisturize, smooth, brighten, and create the dreamiest makeup base. Silicone-free. Safe for sensitive skin. Dermatologically tested. Darphin INTRAL SPF50 is another super product to try. If you have sensitive skin or have difficulty with sunscreen near your eye area this may be the one for you! INTRAL environmental lightweight shield broad spectrum SPF50 is the strength of environmental protection in its most delicate form. Provides SPF protection for sensitive skin and helps protect the face and eyes from pollution. With a gentle blend of 100% mineral UVA/UVB filters, this fluid disappears on skin leaving it smooth, luminous and comfortably protected.
Free from parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, formaldehyde. It also has a great color correcting peach tint so it works as a makeup base or can be worn by itself!

Famhouse Fresh Elevated Shade SPF30 with niacinimide is another great mineral sunscreen. Packed with powerful antioxidants from micro dwarf gray sugar pea extract grown on the farm. Supergoop! GLOW SCREEEN SPF40 makes the list! My favorite is the new shade Dawn, the pinky peachy tint I can't resist. I have the original as well, but love the new shades! This can be worn as a makeup primer or by itself. Powerhouse ingredients hyluronic acid, niacinimide, and B5 hydrate, perfect, and protect all with a dewy lit up glow without all the glitter! If you love this brand give the new shades a try!

Anything Elta MD! My choice is UV Luminous SPF 41 with light rosy tint. Elta MD was the first facial sunscreen I used on my face, it was the original spf 46 with tint. Now Elta MD has a huge line of sunscreen and skincare. Most of the products are oil-free, which is spectacular for people prone to breakouts. I am one of those, and it happens even when you're over 50! Elta MD is the gold standard for most cosmetic surgery offices, and I can vouch for the sunscreen and skincare. I usually keep the skin recovery serum on hand if I have any kind of peel or laser treatment. It is super gentle and soothes the skin! One cool thing about this company is they offer many of the sunscreens in a smaller .5 oz size so you can try it out before you commit.

Lira Clinical BB Brite Spf 30 is another great choice if you're looking to replace foundation or tinted moisturizer with an all-in-one sunscreen product. It literally does everything in a creamy souffle like-texture. It can also be used as an undereye primer and CC Cream with skin brightening ingredients like Arbutin and Mulberry Extract. It comes in a variety of colors for different skin tones, and the company also offers a BB Concealer that corrects by brightening and protecting skin against sun damage with illuminating botanicals and SPF 25+.

BEAUTYCOUNTER Countersun daily sheer defense spf25 for face works great under makeup or worn alone! It leaves skin with a very subtle glow but has no color or tint. This lightweight lotion provides protection from UVA, UVB, and HEV blue light rays while leaving no chalky white cast. Antioxidants help protect skin from pollution, while chicory root extract supports skin’s moisture barrier to lock in hydration. The entire Countersun line is formulated without octinoxate and oxybenzone, two sunscreen ingredients that contribute to the collapse of coral reefs. This one does have a tiny bit of organic sunflower oil for those with drier skin types.
